ABOUT FETAU OIL

Fetau (Tamanu) Oil has a variety of topical, medicinal, and beautification uses. Ancient Polynesians have known about the restorative and regenerative uses of this oil for hundreds of years, and we at Tropical Trees & Seas are committed to providing you the highest quality of this beautiful, natural oil as possible.  The Fetau Oil we make has no additives and is laboriously hand-expelled in a process that takes several months. We take care that our product is 100% pure, so you can be assured that what you buy is what you get. We at Tropical Trees & Seas ensure that the entire process of making the oil, from gathering the raw Fetau nuts to hand-pressing the oil, is done exclusively by us. No importing from off-island, no out-sourcing labor. We do this to provide the most high quality, affordable, and luxurious products available.

Uses for Skin

Fetau Oil has been confirmed to be a safe topical solution to many skin disorders and injuries, such as burns, scars, infected wounds, dermatosis, urticaria, eczema. In the past, it has been used for medical treatments for a long time throughout the southern hemisphere. In Southern India, it is commonly used to treat rheumatism. In the South Pacific, it is historically used as a topical analgesic to treat ulcers, wounds, and sciatica. If used as part of a daily skincare routine, Fetau Oil has the wonderful properties of soothing dry skin, reducing breakouts, and giving the areas it is applied and beautiful warm glow. Simply put a small amount in your hand and massage deeply into where it is needed. The rich, golden green oil absorbs into the skin quickly and results are amazing.

Uses for Hair

Fetau Oil is very commonly used on skin, but did you know it can also be used on hair? A good substitute for argan or coconut oil based products, our Fetau Oil adds an unparalleled sheen and fullness to dry or damaged hair. Also, many other products have additives such as thickeners or binders to their oils. Tropical Trees & Seas Fetau Oil does not have any additives, making it a natural and healthy way to increase hair health and aesthetics.
